Webster United Methodist Church invites you to a Welcome Neighbor STL Drive Thru dinner to support refugee families in St. Louis.
These meals present an opportunity for immigrant families to share knowledge and skills unique to them. It is also an opportunity for us to get a glimpse into their culture. These fundraising efforts can set them on a path of greater independence and confidence in their lives here in the USA.
Drive up to pick up your to go dinner on Saturday, January 14th from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Webster United Methodist Church, 600 N. Bompart Ave. Webster Groves, MO 63119.
The African menu is $35 per person and consists of:
SALAD:
Green leaf, tomatoes, cucumber, Carrots, Eggs. With dressing (Ranch, Italian)
RIZ GRAS (WHITE) (BURKINA FASO – WEST AFRICA):
Rice, beef meat, Onions, Tomatoes, Green pepper, White pepper, black pepper, parsley, garlic, green onion, Olive oil, chicken bouillon.
POTATOES GRATIN:
Potatoes, cheese, sour cream, butter, beacon.
SPICY RIBLET BBQ:
Ribs, Salt, Ginger, white pepper, Celery, onions, Cajun seasoning.
FISH FILET:
Fish, nutmeg, salt, onions, peppers (green, yellow, red), garlic, oil, black and white pepper, zucchini.
ALLOCCO (PLANTAIN) (WEST AFRICA MOSTLY IVORY COAST):
Fried and steamed plantain with dipping sauce made with onions, tomatoes, garlic, pepper, oil
BEIGNET:
All-purpose flower, sugar, eggs, yeast, oil, vanilla sugar, milk, salt
