Villa Duchesne High School invites you to a Welcome Neighbor STL Supper Club to support immigrant families in St. Louis. Enjoy food, conversation, and catching up with friends – old and new. From cultural exchange to just plain fun, look forward to a great evening.

These meals present an opportunity for immigrant families to share knowledge and skills unique to them. It is also an opportunity for us to get a glimpse into their culture. These fundraising efforts can set them on a path of greater independence and confidence in their lives here in the USA.

The supper club will take place on February 2, at 6 PM. The event will begin at 6pm with presentations in the Pavich Theatre followed by a buffet dinner in the Large Dining Room at 6:30PM.

The menu is $25 and contains:

KABULI PULAO:

Basmati rice cooked with onion, saffron, black pepper, cardamom, coriander, and cumin. Topped with raisins, nuts and julienned carrots.

MANTU (AFGHAN DUMPLINGS):

Similar to a wonton dumpling and filled with lentils, tomatoes, onion, coriander, and cumin. Drizzled with yogurt and tomato sauce.

LOLA KEBBAB:

Minced beef, onion, green chili, tomato, coriander, cumin.

GOSH E-FIL:

Known as elephant’s ear is a fried sweet pastry with dough made from flour, milk, eggs, and sugar. These crunchy pastries are also sprinkled with powdered cardamom, icing sugar, and crushed pistachios.
