Event Details

On Saturday, April 13th at 6:30 pm, Church of St. Cletus – Parish Hall invites you to a Welcome Neighbor STL Supper Club to support immigrant and refugee families in St. Louis. Enjoy food, conversation, and catching up with friends – old and new. From cultural exchange to just plain fun, look forward to a great evening.

These meals present an opportunity for immigrant and refugee families to share knowledge and skills unique to them. It is also an opportunity for us to get a glimpse into their culture. These fundraising efforts can set them on a path of greater independence and confidence in their lives here in the USA.

Menu for child and carryout options are available: You can also pick up your meals from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.

Please select you options at the bottom.

THANK YOU.

KABULI POLAW:

Basmati rice cooked with onion, saffron, black pepper, cardamom, coriander, and cumin. Topped with raisins, nuts and julienned carrots.

MANTU (AFGHAN DUMPLING):

Similar to a wonton dumpling and filled with lentils, tomatoes, onion, beef, coriander, and cumin. Drizzled with yogurt and tomato sauce.

ASHAK:

Fresh pasta filled with scallions, leeks and cilantro. served with yogurt/garlic sauce. Seasoned with coriander, turmeric and cayenne pepper, sprinkled with mint.

GOSH E-FIL:

Known as elephant’s ear is a fried sweet pastry with dough made from flour, milk, eggs, and sugar. These crunchy pastries are also sprinkled with powdered cardamom, icing sugar, and crushed pistachios.
