On Wednesday, September 27th at 6pm, Women’s Voices Raised for Social Justice invites you to a Welcome Neighbor STL Supper Club hosted at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion to support immigrant and refugee families in St. Louis. Enjoy food, conversation, and catching up with friends – old and new. From cultural exchange to just plain fun, look forward to a great evening.

These meals present an opportunity for immigrant and refugee families to share knowledge and skills unique to them. It is also an opportunity for us to get a glimpse into their culture. These fundraising efforts can set them on a path of greater independence and confidence in their lives here in the USA.

The International menu is $35 and contains:

FATAYER:(IRAQ):

A Middle Eastern pie that can alternatively be stuffed with spinach and cheese.

DOLMA (IRAQ):

A middel Eastern stuffed grape leaves made with rice, diced chicken meat, herbs, and spices.

VEGETARIAN BIRYANI (INDIA):

A bold and flavorful dish with Indian spices, rice, and fresh herbs.

SAMOSA: (INDIA)

A fried dish with a savory filling, such as spiced potatoes, onion.

KOUSHARI: (EGYPT)

Lentils, rice, and pasta with chickpeas, onions, and served with sauce made from tomato sauce, garlic, and olive oil.

BASBOUSA: (EGYPTIAN DESERT)

Semolina, Coconut, Sugar, Milk and Ghee.
